Artlab conservators prepared artworks for Tarnanthi 2020: Open Hands and worked alongside registration officers from the Art Gallery of South Australia installing works in the exhibition.

An exquisite collection, illuminating the rich diversity of First Nations artists, was on display from
16 October 2020 to 31 January 2021.

Tarnanthi 2020 celebrated Open Hands at the Art Gallery in Adelaide and for the first time in the history of the festival, a second exhibition - Tarnanthi on Tour: Kulata Tjuta (Many Spears) was held at Musée des Beaux-Arts in Rennes in France. Major artworks from thirty-four artists from Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands were exhibited from 16 October to 3 January 2021.
