Book publishing in China during 1920s-1940s: an insight on the history, printing techniques, paper manufacturing and collection survey, presented by Yuhong Zhang.

The South Australian and Northern Territory division of the Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Material (AICCM) is presenting a series of Chinwag Webinars scheduled monthly. They are short informal sessions for conservators and conservation scientists to share their experiences, findings, questions and solutions encountered during their work and are open to all AICCM members and external attendees.

Yuhong Zhang, Project conservator at the State Library of South Australia and trainee at Artlab Australia presented her findings obtained during a conservation survey at the Baillieu Library at the University of Melbourne.

The Chinwag covered the broad range of publishing sectors like paper making, printing and binding methods and, also described publication distribution between the 1920s -1940s.

The seventh Chinwag in this series was presented on 27 October 2022.
